Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium (Barcelona)
The Olympic Stadium, designed by the architect Pere Domènech i Roura, was inaugurated in 1929 within the framework of the Barcelona International Exhibition. It was intended to host the 36th Olympic Games, but the political situation at the time prevented it and it gradually fell into disuse. Half a century later, thanks to Barcelona's Olympic candidacy, the Stadium came back to life thanks to the team of architects formed by Gregotti, Correa, Milan, Margarit and Buixadé. In 1985, work began on the total refurbishment of the Stadium, providing it with equipment and services to host the Olympic Games. The works respected the façade, which still retains its original appearance.

The inauguration of the new Olympic Stadium took place in 1989 on the occasion of the V Athletics World Cup. Three years later, the stadium was the star venue for the 1992 Olympic Games, hosting the opening and closing ceremonies and athletics events.

On the occasion of the 20th European Athletics Championships in 2010, this facility underwent a new refurbishment in which Mabelux Technic took part by bending and manufacturing the curved windows of the Stadium with aluminium profiles of the Schüco AWS 60 series.
