Sant Antoni Market (Barcelona)

Designed by the architect Antoni Rovira i Trias, its construction meant the creation of the first market on the outskirts of the city of Barcelona. Inaugurated in 1882, it soon added the merchants of the Parallel textile and other non-food products to its offer. Later, booksellers and collectors also joined on Sundays, which gave rise to the Sunday Market of Sant Antoni.

Work began on the refurbishment of the market in 2007 and its completion was delayed until 2018 due to the archaeological remains found: the Via Augusta and the Roman necropolis and the remains of the bastion of San Antonio.

Mabelux Technic was responsible for bending Jansen stainless steel profiles for a large number of the market's windows.
